We are excited to announce the Compton Veterans Memorial Project, a heartfelt initiative honoring the brave men and women who have served our country. Supported by a generous $500 grant from the Nextdoor Kind Foundation, this special memorial altar will be unveiled at the VFW Post in Compton, CA, on November 2, 2024.  Join us for a community celebration in honor of the service and sacrifice of local veterans.

Veterans, families, and the entire community are invited to a special evening at the VFW Post!

Take a minute to reflect at the Compton Community Veterans Memorial altar, meet members of the VFW Post, and learn more about their work. Whether you're a veteran or part of the community, this is a great opportunity to connect, reflect, and support one another. Relax, hang out, and enjoy watching the college football game in a welcoming space with music and refreshments.

About the Project

The Veterans Memorial project aims to unite the Compton community to create a meaningful and lasting tribute to our veterans. With contributions from local artists and community members, the memorial will serve as a place of reflection and gratitude for the sacrifices made by our service members. The memorial will be comprised of photos submitted by the families of veterans from Compton and the surrounding community who have passed away.
